When you book your family holiday with us, you’re lucky enough to be dealing with locals who love the area and spend weekends exploring and soaking up our surroundings.

Some of the CVC team’s favourite things to do with our families (but shhh, keep these to yourself!):

Take a sunset stroll along Fish Hoek beach, see if you can spot dolphins or whales, and then watch the full moon rise over the Hottentots Hollands mountains.

Pat the horses on Noordhoek Common, then meander past the tree swings under the leafy oaks, watch the squirrels gambolling about and see if the kids can find the Fairy Tree.

Pack a picnic, some buckets and fishing nets, and take the kids to Glencairn Beach to explore the rock pools and do some starfish spotting.

Take a hike in the Cape Point Nature Reserve and absorb the spectacular views over the Atlantic.

Walk along Kommetjie beach in the morning and watch the local dogs sitting on the sand waiting for their surfer owners to return from the waves.

Take the kids to Boulders Beach and experience the thrill of swimming with the penguins, followed by an ice cream in the sun.

Pack some chilled white wine, fresh goat’s cheese and bread from Cape Point Bakery and head down the secret path to Smitswinkel Bay, a tiny hideaway with pedestrian access only.
