“The role of the designer is that of a good, thoughtful host anticipating the needs of his guests.” Charles Eames
There is nothing like the sublime pleasure of spending your holiday in a home where every space delights the eye and is thoughtfully designed. When there is natural flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, it means the witty repartee can fly between those cooking and those having an apéritif around the kitchen island, it’s easy to grab another cold drop of something from the fridge, and the laughter of the kids in the pool provides a happy backdrop.
We pride ourselves on the fact that each of our handpicked holiday homes has beautiful design features and carefully curated spaces.
One of these gorgeous homes is Tone Alexander’s Noordhoek villa, Le Vue d’Alexandre. His keen eye for detail and beauty means that you can relax and luxuriate in stylish surroundings. There’s always a side table placed just where you need it, the sumptuous couches on the veranda are perfectly positioned to catch the afternoon breeze, and the views of the mountain are beautifully framed by the landscaped garden.
The fact that Tone’s garden recently won the formal garden category in the Noordhoek Open Gardens comes as no surprise, with its perfectly pruned hedges and Iceberg roses, without forgetting the quirky gin bar (nicknamed ‘The happiest little gin palace’), which lures you out across the manicured lawns for a sundowner.
Tone was also asked by a London-based client to tackle the interior and exterior transformation of The Milkwood, a heritage Victorian cottage in Gordon’s Bay. Once again, he’s created a holiday home that invites you to relax and unwind.
We look forward to hosting you in one of our designer homes soon. Click on our Peak Season Offers to find the perfect holiday home for you.

At the most south-westerly tip of Africa, it feels like you are miles away, yet it’s only a 20-minute drive from many of our holiday villas. Some of these homes are still available for December – check out our Peak Season Offers.
Cape Point boasts many hiking and cycling trails well worth exploring. You might spot zebra, eland, baboons, ostriches, or bontebok. You could even get lucky and see a Verraux’s eagle soaring in the blue sky above, or ostriches on the beach at Olifantsbos. Let this magical place fill you with wonder as you breathe in the fynbos air.
Absorb the silence and majestic splendour of this place, then get your 10 000 daily steps covered by climbing all the way to the top of Cape Point to the lighthouse. Or take the kids up on The Flying Dutchman, a funicular railway that will save your breath. Your reward will be spectacular 360 degree views.
You can end your day with a delicious seafood platter and breathtaking ocean views at the restaurant, or bring your own picnic to the Bordjiesdrif or Buffels Bay tidal pools. Keep an eye out for baboons wanting to join in the fun!

The drive over Chapman’s Peak sees the most beautiful mountain pass road curve to reveal the gorgeous stretch of soft white sand and turquoise waters of Noordhoek Beach.
When you stay in Noordhoek, you can choose to go horse riding, explore the rock pools, splash in the turquoise water, head out for a surf or simply just sit and soak it all up.
Our Noordhoek villas showcase the glorious backdrop of the Chapman’s Peak mountain range, swathed in the milkwood forest that covers the dunes up to the massive seaside boulders.
You’ll find us here at our favourite sundowner spot called ‘The Hoek’.
Grab a cold bottle of something and ‘pull in’ (as the locals say)!
